La disparition myst\u00e9rieuse de certains jeunes de Bonalyonga et les recherches infructueuses organis\u00e9es par le village ne laissent au chef du conseil du village Mola Kingue d\u2019autres choix que d\u2019invoquer l\u2019aide des dieux de la montagne. Ils ont besoin d\u2019un albinos pour le rituel, et le regard de Mola Kingue est port\u00e9 vers sa propre petite-fille. Ngomba (l\u2019homme de main de Mola) kidnappe l\u2019enfant et la cavale vers la montagne commence. Les parents de l\u2019enfant sont d\u00e9termin\u00e9s \u00e0 prot\u00e9ger leur fille, peu importe les enjeux. Enanga (la cingl\u00e9e du village) choisit de montrer \u00e0 Margot Etonge (la m\u00e8re de Liengu) le chemin vers ce voyage p\u00e9rilleux.
